Lace Contrasts

Manning Cartell Lace Bomber, Maurie and Eve Lace Shorts, Vintage Lace Top, Friend of Mine Booties, Karen Walker Sunglasses
Some simple tonal dressing with black and white lace picked out from the back of the closet just so I can justify my new purchase and the size of my wardrobe by proving that I rotate through the older pieces. I get personal satisfaction out of this kind of thing. Do you as well? I'm sure we all have moments of self-convincing like this, no?
Even added these old studded boots to level out the girliness of all the lace and toughen the whole look up and there we have it, a completely new look with long-term dwellers in my wardrobe.

Pretty Rough

One Teaspoon Top, Sass and Bide Bra, Vintage Skirt, Zimmermann Heels

Passed by this beautiful tree by complete chance to find that its flowers perfectly matched the colour of this skirt I found at Sydney's Bondi Beach Markets. Unfortunately a storm was brewing at this point so the pictures do not fully show how gorgeous the whole tree is, making a romantic little archway over the footpath. Things like this remind me to get outside and explore the natural beauty that was blessed upon us rather than locking ourselves indoors all the time. In saying that though, today I am not feeling well due to self-inflicted causes and thus, will make the conscious decision to curl up in a ball in bed nurturing the pain away. Hope you all made the most of the weekend! x

Bonita!

Vintage Belt, Top and Denim Cut-offs, Mum's Necklaces, Zimmermann Heels, Gold Drop Handbag, Karen Walker Sunglasses
Seeing as there's no escaping the sun I planned to wear summer's key essential item- the denim cut-offs. I think I have too many pairs, in what I think are different types but always feel as if there just isn't enough and try to find more pairs that are unique from all the others in some way. Now that the warmer days, times for outdoor fun and music festivals are upon us I am keen to seek out the perfect low-waist cut-offs- hopefully in white. The ones I am wearing in these photos I found in an op-shop for $3 (THREE Dollars, I tell you!) and think they complement the rest of all these hand-me-down items to make it look like quite a classy and fun summery look. Don't you think? What say you?

Summer Shades

Karen Walker 'Harvest' Sunglasses
Feeling the heat burning up and having the hardware to protect your optics- priceless.
Actually no, came at a hefty price tag that was supposed to be used for some new furniture, but oh well.. It's Friday! Time for some fun :)

Exposed Ghetto

Aje Sweater Dress, Miu Miu Sneakers
Just chillin' in my hood lookin' shifty. haha

Chip Chop

Got my hair done today! Not much of a drastic change but glad to get the dead bits trimmed off. I think I'm going to start doing my own hair as I don't think I've ever been fully satisfied from a salon job and find myself always touching it up after paying ridiculous amounts. Does anyone else have that problem? Sick of it!

The Blessed Ones

The fashion world doesn't have time to stop with all the attention shifted onto London Fashion week as soon as New York finished setting the mark. I'm sure many of you have seen many snapshots and all the collections from the past week but here are some of my favourite street style images.

NYFW Galore

Of all Fashion Weeks, for me, NYFW is like the cool older sibling of one of your friends who you know you wish you could emulate in future years. Not the perfectly primped and primed mature type but the effortlessly chic who never comes across as over-the-top but knows how to perfectly coordinate luxe and edge. Not sure if my stated image is coming across but nonetheless, I felt as if the designers definitely did not let that reputation slip by showcasing more-than-enough enviable collections. Too many goodies but I say BCBGMaxAzria, Diesel Black Gold and of course, Alexander Wang would be draped on the so-what-I-just-threw-this-on-but-I-know-I-look-fabulous type of girls and would be the credit card drainers for me!
